Community fridge offering free food opens at alcohol-free pub in Reading

Pop in and pick up some free food, have a tea or coffee and meet new people!

New Beginnings Reading are a registered charity who have transformed the Queens Arms from a derelict pub into a warm, welcoming alcohol free venue for all.

Our services include an After School Cafe supporting families in Reading, Berkshire on a Wednesday afternoon.

Craft activities, toys and games are on offer for children to enjoy while parents relax.

A free hot meal is served to all along with pre-owned clothing and school uniform available.

The Queens Arms is also home to The Way Ministry Reading on a Sunday afternoon – here a free hot Sunday dinner is provided for adults who are in need.

Come along and pick up some free food and meet our dedicated team of volunteers.

New Beginnings Reading Fridge for the Community is open for an hour every Wednesday and Friday between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
