Over £30k donated in cooked food in six months

Donations for the New Beginnings Reading Community Fridge have come from far and wide since March. This generosity has meant that NBR has been able to give thousands of meals and food parcels to the hundreds of people who have relied on this service.

Among the hundreds of companies and invididuals who have donated is the partnership of Radiant World, accountants James Cowper Kreston and Fink Street Food. Since May Radiant World have donated £33,075 to NBR in wholesome, delicious food cooked food  via Fink Street Food, who in turn donated 10% of their bill to Woking Mind, a local mental health charity. This has enabled NBR to serve over 90 hot meals every Tuesday from the Queen’s Arms.

We’ve welcomed James Cowper Kreston volunteers every week since May who have dedicated their time to make sure the Community Fridge can run smoothly.
